July 9, Thurs.- The Classics Games and Lunch (Seniors Group) - The Classics will meet at 10:00 A.M. in Sterling Hall for games and a salad lunch. Bring a recipe of salad to share.
July 10, Fri. 7:15 pm - Bridge Night - If you've wanted to learn how to play bridge or a long time player, come join us for lots of fun. Start time is around 7:15 and we end at around 10:30. All levels of players are welcome. It's a fun time and a good opportunity to get to know some of your fellow Good Shepherd parishioners. Non-Good Shepherd players are welcome, we have several of those.... come out and join us!! Feel free to bring something to share with the group. Future bridge will be on August 7. July 12 8:30 - 1:00 Blood Drive - St. Luke's will be accepting donations from 8:30 A.M. Till 1:00 P.M. In Shepherd's Hall. Please plan to come by and give the gift of life. Our next blood drives are scheduled for September 13 and December 6th..
July 25, Sat. 1st Annual Guy Stuff Horseshoe Tournament, 3pm Practice, 4pm Tournament - $10 entry fee, food & cash prizes included. All guys are welcome, invite a friend, bring a ringer!
Good Shepherd is forming a PRAYER SHAWL AND PRAYER QUILT MINISTRY - Anyone that crochets, knits, or make quilts or wants to learn how!! (There will be experienced teachers) come join us in the rewarding & prayerful ministry (men are welcome and can do a lot especially with the quilts & prayer) For information: Call Lee Wilcox.

Summer at Camp Allen - Camp Allen has reached over the 1,000 camper mark in registration for this summer. Several sessions are now full. Although some Texas summer camps are having registration problems, it appears that Camp Allen will be totally full by the 1st session on June 2nd. Check the Camp Allen website for applications and the available sessions.
Episcopal Hurricane Ike Response - As of April 15, your efforts have helped us to gut over 80 homes as well as rebuilding and repairing 5 more and counting. In addition, we have just started organized work trips in La Porte, Texas in conjunction with St. John's Episcopal Church. There is still plenty of work to be done on the island, and we are filling up our facilities with volunteers for the summer.
